Bristol Aero Talks
I have had the pleasure of attending two talks given by Tony Bray at the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop, Hampshire. These have each dealt with specialised military operations and functions and in each case have explained the difficulties and solutions adopted by the military services.
The visual aids, diagrammatic and pictorial, together in one case with video presentations of operations, all skilfully prepared in advance, have illustrated splendidly the processes of achieving the required military aims whilst adding ‘atmosphere’ to the lectures.

Tony served in the Royal Corps of Transport and was obviously inspired by the airborne delivery of troops and supplies. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to his talk ‘History of the Glider Pilot Regiment’, and subsequently ‘Operation Manna’ - the story of air resupply.
Tony’s research is most thorough and what makes it unique and special, is the inclusion of veterans’ interviews, who actually participated in the events described. He engages very well with his audience, there is little chance of them nodding off!
